- The Necklace Brísingamen
The Necklace BrísingamenFreyja is the Norse goddess of fertility, beauty, and love.
Freyja, being Odin's lover, was traveling through the forest and came upon a cave where four dwarf craftsmen were admiring a necklace they had made. The goddess desired it for herself. The dwarves agreed to give her the necklace in exchange for four nights with her. Freyja agreed, and spent four nights sharing a bed with each of the craftsmen in turn. The dwarves then gave the goddess the necklace Brísingamen, which became her most prized treasure. On top of this, the ornament held magical properties — it enhanced the allure of whoever wore it!
